Hometown: Boise, Idaho
Birthdate: May 24, 1994 Education: Boise State University 2016 I was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and was the first child of my parents. I graduated with high honors from Eagle High School in Idaho in the year of 2011 and moved on to get a higher education at Boise State University. Throughout the years I have been very privileged and have had the opportunity to see a lot of the world. I have lived between Las Vegas, Nevada, Boise, Idaho, and Los Angeles, California. Having watching my dad in the business world it made me itch to also get out into the world of adulthood. I graduated high school at the age of 16 and directly started college. While in college I have studied business, marketing, nursing, and general health studies. Since life goes so fast I have yet had any desire to limit my knowledge to just one field. Even having taken large loads of courses in many different fields I have been on the Dean's List every semester. Professionally I think I want to end up somewhere in the Diabetes world whether that be in the corporate world or the medical. In 2010 I became involved in Idaho Diabetes Youth Programs and Camp Hodia, which is a state wide program for children with diabetes in Idaho, Eastern Oregon, and Northern Wyoming. I got involved in this program because I too am a Type 1 Diabetic. I have been a camp counselor, and assistant craft director at their kids camp for the past 3 years. This year I was chosen to be put as an event planner for one day at teen camp and a committee member on a fundraising committee. IDYP is one of the greatest things in my life and I love all of the amazing opportunities it has opened up for me. I have been to DTreat for college diabetic leaders and this May I will attend Students With Diabetes annual leadership conference in Florida. My hobbies include painting, pottery, fitness, going to concerts, blogging, and my family. One day I hope to travel the whole world and document it. |
